Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Girtonian LLC ("Girtonian," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Trend Tap, our Figma plugin and this website (collectively, the "Service").

Summary

Trend Tap is designed to work locally inside Figma. We do not operate a backend that collects your design files, layer content, or images. The plugin stores a small amount of data on your device through Figma's storage APIs, and only contacts an external server when you activate or validate a Plus license key.

Information We Collect

Figma plugin — data stored locally

When you use the Trend Tap plugin, the following information may be stored in Figma's client-side storage or on nodes in your Figma file:

• Plugin preferences — such as sticker format, theme selection, chibi mode, patch settings, aspect ratio, and panel size.
• Applied trend metadata — when you apply a trend to a layer, the plugin may save trend ID, prompt text, variation index, and related metadata to that node's plugin data within your Figma file.
• Plus license data — if you purchase Plus, your license key, activation instance ID, and last validation timestamp are stored locally so the plugin can verify your license offline within a grace period.

This data remains associated with your Figma account and files. We do not receive copies of it on our own servers.

Figma plugin — data sent over the network

If you activate or validate a Plus license, the plugin sends a request to Lemon Squeezy's license API (api.lemonsqueezy.com). The only data transmitted is:

• The license key you enter
• An opaque activation instance name derived from your Figma user ID (format: figma-{userId})

The plugin does not transmit your design content, layer names, node structure, images, prompts you paste elsewhere, or broader file metadata.

Website

This marketing website is a static page. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or account registration on this site. Your browser may still send standard technical information (such as IP address and user agent) to whatever host serves the page, as with any website.

Payments

Plus purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment and license provider. When you buy Plus, Lemon Squeezy collects payment and contact information according to its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

• Provide and maintain the plugin's features
• Remember your preferences between sessions
• Attach creative-direction metadata to Figma layers you choose
• Activate, validate, and manage Plus license entitlements

Legal Bases (EEA/UK Users)

Where applicable, we process information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), based on your instructions when you apply trends or enter a license key, and where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Trend Tap.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Lemon Squeezy — for license activation and validation when you use Plus features
• Figma — as part of normal plugin operation within the Figma platform
• Service providers — such as website hosting, solely to operate the Service
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights and safety

Data Retention

Plugin preferences and license data persist in Figma client storage until you change them in the plugin, remove the plugin from your Figma account, or we release an update that changes storage behavior. Trend metadata stored on Figma nodes remains until you clear it with Clear applied trend (see Your Choices) or delete the node. Lemon Squeezy retains license records according to its own policies.

Your Choices

• Applied trend metadata. When you select a layer that already has a trend applied and navigate to that same trend in the carousel, a Clear applied trend link appears in the plugin footer. It removes stored metadata from the selected layer(s) and restores the original layer name.
• Plugin preferences. You can change preferences (sticker mode, theme, aspect ratio, and similar settings) directly in the plugin at any time. There is no separate reset control; stored preferences are removed when you uninstall Trend Tap from your Figma account.
• Plus license. You can use the free tier without entering a license key or triggering license API calls. To deactivate Plus on a device, contact us at connect@girtonian.com.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

If you use Trend Tap from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Lemon Squeezy may process license data in accordance with its own practices.

Security

We take reasonable measures to limit data collection and transmission. License keys are stored locally because Lemon Squeezy's validation API requires them alongside the instance ID. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when changes are posted. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
